T-Shirt as a Mirror

I suggest you an experiment. If you forget about your boring t-shirts with the important logos of top brands that only work as identity protheses, you may help your co-citizens get to know themselves better. First replace some of your t-shirts with new ones that show a picture like the one above.

It will be beneficial to you, too, since you definitely will go beyond your comfort zone. You will have a hard time to be thinking and arguing with yourself that you shouldn’t do that. People will mock you. It is obvious that some people wear black, grey and less striking clothes because they figured out that it’s better to stay unnoticed in the shadow.

So, if you could remove this hurdle away, you go walking on the street. It is important that you should not wear it the way you try to cover it that as less can be seen as possible. Take a deep breath and square your shoulders. Look into the eyes whoever come and face them.

Focus and concentrate on the face who looked at your t-shirt. The first second is the most important one. It will watch a spontan reaction. It happens lightning fast and only a few people are well trained enough to control their body language not to show any reaction. Most of us will show an instinctive reaction. Within a couple of minutes you will experience a full spectrum of emotional feedbacks. Here we go, we have arrived at the heart of the game. Some will laugh about the t-shirt. Some will be upset. Some get angry. 😡 Others will not dare to look back again, because they forced themselves to look away in complete mental disorder.

Finally, I owe you with the benefits for you and your co-citizens. Actually, your t-shirt played the role of a mirror. It helped others generate a reaction. If the onlooker was able to be self-reflexive enough, then you gave him or her a 🎁 that could be a new experiment for him or her. It is not about the female on the t-shirt but about the mindset of the onlooker.

Your benefit will be the full emotional spectrum of your co-citizens. You will learn what they instinctively felt about the woman on the t-shirt. Sadness, regret, horror, paralysis, helplessness, anger. The more you experience, the richer your inner world become.

Emotional richness=broader view of the world=deeper understanding of others=more extensive empathy. Our world will be disrupted without empathy. The tendency of people’s behavior and their lack of tolerance will end up in a world of single people. This sad world will run into complete despair.

Let’s have fun and interact with each other!
